Castlevania Remade in Unreal Engine 4

A fan-made recreation of that horrific P.T. demo tease for the canceled Silent Hills game has popped up online and it's been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 4. The result is a very convincing simulation of that claustrophobic, repetitive home experience.
One of the big problems with trying to make a new game from scratch is that you're designing levels, creating monsters, thinking about gameplay, and all sorts of other stuff all at once. Remaking a game like Castlevania lets you skip the level design and just focus on learning how to use the Unreal Engine.
Dejawolf, a Norwegian developer going by the name of dejawolf, has created a remake of the original Castlevania for the NES using the Unreal Engine 4. The game is still in a very early stage, and it may never be finished, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the franchise.
It's worth keeping in mind that the original Castlevania was a bit of a disaster in terms of controls. The remake is much more streamlined, with Simon's Belmont moving with the arrow keys, jumping with space, and attacking with 'e'. There are also a number of sub weapons that can be used, and the player will have to be pretty good at perfecting combo timing in order to defeat hordes of enemies. As a final note, it's worth remembering that Konami doesn't exactly take kindly to fans when they try to mess with their intellectual property. Given the way it handled both the Silent Hills and P.T. demo, this remake probably won't last long in the public domain if it gets any more attention than it already has.
